What is Channeling?   - Vol 1 Issue 3 - May, 2008

Everything I do is what is termed "channeled". What does this mean?

A Channel is one who connects to a higher energy and who speaks the words of that energy or uses that energy to create music, paint, draw, and many other creative modalities.

In my case, I work with two energies. One is an energy known as "Sister". Sister connected with me from the world of Spirit in 1993 and has been with me since. She has been a sister in a religious order (hence the name "Sister") and she has also had many other lives; including one of her incarnations where she lived the opposite of her religious life - she was a prostitute of quite high renown. She can speak on an incredible spiritual level and also down at a grass roots level. She is as experienced on the subject of sexual energy as she is on her life as a nun and she was actually awarded sainthood for her religious life.

When Sister's energy merges with mine, my personality and voice become different. There are many levels of communication states with these energies. When I first began channeling her energy, I was doing what is known as "conscious channeling" in which the words poured out of my mouth and I could hear myself speaking. Over the years with her, however, I have become more of a deep trance channel in that now, I am not aware, even afterwards, of what has been said.

Another energy I channel - and the one I have become more known for - is an energy known as "Maitreya". He is what is known as an Ascended Master in the world of Spirit. But he has always said, "Do not put me on a pedestal. Yes, I am ascended and have much knowledge, but I am just a teacher, nothing more." Maitreya has been working with me since 1992. I have worked on a deep trance level with him since the beginning and, even though I was working with him, he taught me many things I needed to learn. Now, we work side by side in all we do. When I do my Monthly Channelings with him, I go into a deep trance state and he can then come through as himself. My voice, posture and energy change quite dramatically. The energy in the room, as also with Sister, changes and is quite beautiful. Many people cannot help falling into a sleep or into very deeply relaxed state themselves when he communicates.

The aim of these energies is to enable us to assist the earth plane to change and become a less aggressive place to live; and to assist us to raise our vibration on this earth plane. I consider myself such a fortunate person to have these energies in my life, and also be able to work with them as I do.

Although I am Margaret McElroy and have free will and choice in all I do, when I work on a spiritual level I am one with both of these souls. But they do not dictate to me. I have chosen to work with them and, as such, know that what I teach is coming from the higher source. Can I say "No" to their channeling through me? Yes, I can, but I very rarely do as they only come when they are needed. For the rest of the time, I am alone.
