Stagnant Energy

One of the most important things my spiritual teacher, Maitreya, taught me was the use of energy. Until I began to learn about energy I was like everyone else – without a clue to the correct use of it. Like everyone else I had a house full of furniture, a garage and shed full of junk (mostly), and I doubt if I had ever thrown anything away. I was able to see also why my first husband did what he did when we separated. First of all, he had a garage sale with all of my personal effects from the home I had shared with him. I went back to the house one day after we had separated to pick up some clothes, only to find people in what had been our garage going through and buying my pots, pans, cups, saucers – in fact, all of my household items and personal things including some of my clothes which I had gone home to collect. I was shocked at the time, but it was only years later when Maitreya taught me about energy that I realized that what happened had to happen because it enabled me to walk away with nothing and to begin a new life with husband number two.

Everything is energy – household goods, cars, clothes – all that we have in our lives is energy, yet we cannot see it as that. I learned about it when I had been with my then-new husband for a short time after we began working together. I was at a standstill with my career and seemed stuck. Maitreya told me that it was because I was surrounded by unused energy in the form of things I no longer used or could use. I looked around me and realized he was correct. I had so much stuff after only a few years in New Zealand. All I had lost in Australia, I had regained and more, and most of it was not being used.
