Spirit at Work

It never ceases to amaze me how Spirit works! I recently did a radio segment with Dr. Pat Bacilli on her radio show on KKNW 1150 here in Seattle. I have known Dr. Pat for over 3 years, from when Alan I began doing our radio show on the same station in December 2005. I have always had an amazing rapport with her and felt as if I had known her all of my life. During the show we were talking about how people do not socialize any more. I mentioned that I did not even know my neighbors and I had lived in my new home for 8 months. Dr. Pat mentioned her granny who always had a house full of people chatting away and visiting, and I mentioned my childhood and how my mother would go to various neighbors’ houses. Even if she did not like them all that well, she would go and have a cup of tea.

Benny, the engineer on the show, came into the conversation and said to me, “You should have a tea party” (to get to know my neighbors). At that point of time, it was as if a light bulb went off in me and I said to Dr Pat, “We should have a Tea Party” meaning we should do it together – not for neighbors but for like minded people. We both “knew” what we were talking about and I said to her after the radio show that we should get together and talk about it. After a few e-mails back and forth, we finally arranged a meeting to discuss it. After the show I was bombarded with ideas. We had originally talked about having it at our center because we have the tables, chairs, and the space to have it. I could see it in my mind’s eye and I was getting very excited at the thought of the meeting which we had arranged to discuss this.
