The hardest lesson I have had to learn in raising my vibration is that each man/woman has their own truth, and we cannot change that truth no matter what we do or try. They have to change it and they cannot do so unless they are ready. As a child growing up, I had the truth of my parents and I lived that truth in fear, even if I thought something different, put it into action, and went against their truth. As I entered the workforce and left the home environment, I began to see another truth from those around me. This made the fear even worse because, I not only understood their truth, but found that it was my truth in a way. Then I married and took on 80% of my husband’s truth – while, of course, still battling the “real” truth of childhood and teenage years. I had children and, from talking to other mothers, found another truth. And so it continued through my life, experience after experience.
Then Maitreya came into my life and shattered my belief in truth by telling me that there is no truth because one man’s truth is another man’s folly. In other words, each person has their own truth, and as such, there is no correct answer. What I saw as truth was not someone else’s truth. He also explained to me that I cannot change their truth. I could try, but if they were not ready to change, nothing I could do would enable change in that person. Until then I had spent years trying to change people – from my days of being a Christian and wanting to educate people about Jesus, to my wanting to educate people about metaphysics, I had not managed to change anyone, yet I still persisted in trying to do so.

When I stopped being judgmental, critical, and self-opinionated in my earlier years, I could then see in others what made them that way and where it came from. It was actually the start of my career in a way, but the awareness of speaking my truth and keeping it did far more for me. I raised my consciousness to a higher vibration. I am asked constantly, “What can I do to raise my vibration, or consciousness?” I tell people, “Be true to yourself – really truthful.”
I have no shame at all over anything I have done in the past and I have done some things which nobody would be proud of. But each one was a step on my journey through life. I did not know any better. At that time I was not being true to myself. However, I am no longer ashamed of anything I have done in this life or in any other for that matter. Some of them I can laugh at now – I was so stupid in doing it. Others I can still cry for, especially if they upset people – which they nearly always did – but I did not know any better. Once I did, I was able to change. Sometimes I did what I did out of fear, others jealousy, and others out of anger or frustration, but I did not know any better when I did these things.
As far as I am concerned it is a waste of energy worrying and beating myself up over something which has long gone. I cannot change it even though I changed. Someone came up to me today and told me they owed me an apology. Apparently a week prior they were talking to me and suddenly had to leave the room to do some business. They never came back and only realized they had not come back until after the event we were at. No doubt he had been concerned about it all week. I had forgotten the incident after he had walked away!

The next time you have a problem or seek metaphysical teaching, do not think of the dollar value. Think of what you will get out of it. Yes, there are those out there in the world who are not qualified. I have met many along my path – those whom I know are abusing the energy – but that is their path, and those who go to them are meant to go to them to learn. I can guarantee that, if you have the faith and trust, that money will come back to you in some way. I remember one woman who wanted to do her Masters course so much, but she had tax to pay that year, her business was beginning to fail, and she was really torn as to what to do. She came to the course at the last minute, paying with her credit card of which she had to ask for an extension of credit. Three months after the course, to her shock she received a tax refund for almost the whole amount of her course. Her accountant had told her she would get nothing back that year, and he was so shocked to see what happened. She did not question it either; neither did her accountant. They felt it was meant to be. She had also won a small amount in a casino which she had already applied to her course fee on the credit card bill and, with the tax refund, she had the exact amount to pay it off.
We in the metaphysical area love what we do and for many it is our passion. But stop holding yourself back in vibration and consciousness by counting the pennies. My mother had a saying that, “The pennies make the pounds,” and they do. Spend the pennies and (with the right teacher) the pounds will come. If you need advice and guidance, do not be afraid financially to see an astrologer or a reader who is accredited and who has studied and can teach with knowledge that is true. You will never regret it. And what a relief to your health, even if the answer is not what you want to hear. There is always a new direction if you can let go of the fear.

I teach a six-day Masters course and will be doing one in April, 2011. Each day for six days I channel Maitreya, and these days taking his energy is huge and really takes a toll on me physically. The cost for accommodation, meals, and the course is not what I consider expensive – not for what one gets, which is the energy of a Master and a wealth of knowledge on metaphysics. Those who have studied with him in the past are now working around the world teaching and assisting others to move forward spiritually. It is not a course to be taken lightly. Maitreya has told me that, if one has faith, then the money for study with him will come. We deliberately booked this course next year so that people could save for it, yet still I know that people are hesitating to do it. They want to raise their vibration but hesitate when the opportunity to do so is put in front of them.
Of course, the Self has a lot to do with this – bringing in fear of all kinds – but for those who do it, it will be the best thing they could do for themselves in their life. It is the same with readings, etc. Every reading a person has with a reputable reader – and I stress the word, “reputable” – can not only answer the questions which worry and concern you, but also assist your health by taking away the worry and the stress which is there. The same with a past-life session or a healing, but for some reason the ones who seek this kind of service balk at having to pay for it. How do we pay our accounts, put food on our tables, and buy the necessities we need if we do not have a fee for our service? I do a lot of work for free because I cannot say “No” to someone who I know needs it. I have done this for a long time now. I also give people the opportunity to contact me if they have a question after their reading. However, people still hesitate. Why is it they can pay a professional person for their services, but hesitate at ours?

Astrology is not a difficult subject to learn. If I can learn about it, anyone can. I started off learning about the Sun signs, then went on to the houses (of which there are 12) which represent the areas of your life. When I had mastered that, I studied different planets and their aspects, how each planet connects with another. Today one can buy astrological programs which teach astrology or give you the various programs such as birth chart reports, yearly forecasts (such as Solar returns) and, of course, the transits I have talked about in this blog. They are all easy to understand, and are readily available on my website, www.MargaretMcElroy.com. Of course, if one wants to study astrology academically, there are colleges which do that. One I recommend for its excellent teachers is Kepler College in the USA. I honestly believe that, without astrological awareness, one cannot move forward on one’s path of moving to a higher level of consciousness. The Self will do anything it can to dissuade you from moving forward and raising your vibration or consciousness. With astrological awareness, however, forewarned is forearmed. I could not be where I am today in my life without the knowledge of astrology. It is the secret to life itself, the guidance to help us on our journey. We cannot move forward without it.
I wish I had the knowledge in the beginning. I did, in fact, know of astrology but not as the individual guide it can be. I read my horoscope in the magazines and newspapers, but it was just general information created for the masses, not the individual astrology created by an astrologer or which can be obtained on line from websites such as www.astrologyzone.com, written by Susan Miller. I cannot tell you how much Susan’s monthly guides helped me long before I went into astrology myself, and they still do despite my own knowledge. Her transits are a must because they are so accurate. You have to pay for them, but the pittance one pays is worth every cent you pay for the advice one gains from these on a daily basis, and they are sent out each night for the next day’s happenings. Use astrology and you have the answer to life itself.

Was I sad to let the young person go? You bet I was and, more than anything, their mother also. However, I had to work with the person the young person had denigrated and been suspicious of. In my Higher Self I could see the truth of Maitreya’s words.
One of the spiritual lessons which is a part of raising the vibration is about letting go of judgment and judging another – of having no suspicion about someone else and no fear either. I have found over the years of my metaphysical life that often a person who has perhaps done wrong to someone in a past life will come back into their life again to assist them, perhaps by helping them in their career, or by assisting them financially. In this case, it was not just one person but two who were the chagrin of the young person (we never got around to the second person). Yet I knew in my Higher Self that they had both come into their life for the purpose of helping them.
I am living proof of this kind of help. Alan came into my life to repay a karmic debt from a past life in which he held me as a slave of sorts and mistreated me. In this life he has given me the life I should have had in that past life we shared. He has also done all he can to address issues he created in that life (such as low self-esteem and lack of confidence) which I had until he came into my life. Since his arrival in my life, he has made such an effort to help me become the beautiful woman I feel I am now, but which I could not see because of the past life with him and with a present-life experience with another person.

Last year I met a young person who had the most amazing talent. The person came as a client but ended up becoming a friend of sorts. I felt as if I had known this person before. I also met the person’s mother, a beautiful woman – very spiritual and creative – and we began communicating every now and again. A few months after we met, this person began talking about someone we knew, someone whom I had asked to help this person with their career. The talk was not good either. The other person had been in my life for a while and had – as all of us have –been in a little bit of bother through their life. This information was freely given during the time we were working together, and was also available on a website which gives information on people about their past experiences, court cases, credit information etc.
After time spent on the telephone talking with this person, the young person suddenly became very suspicious, did a search and, of course, got the information on them. I had no idea they had done this, and when this young person started asking me if I knew their background I said “Yes, I did know” because I did. it had been revealed to me very early on. However, I knew this person had changed enormously since the information was written and now is a different person. Maitreya had told me this also. After all, he had brought this person into my life. Suddenly the young person was on the attack, and I had to make a decision. Did I support the young person, or defend and stay with my other friend? I made a choice to sever the relationship with the young person. It also meant that I had to sever the relationship with their mother. Maitreya had brought the other person into my life to assist them to move upward in vibration and they were not only successfully doing it very quickly, but were eager to learn.
