Dear Friend,
This report is about how you can heal your mind and body by being aware of the latent energies in your aura and making the best, most spiritual use of them. Your aura is a field of energy that permeates and surrounds your physical body. It has seven special energy centers within it called chakras. Chakras are vortexes of energy, and they are the places in your aura where divine consciousness can come in and manifest in your physical body, especially if you are receptive to it and use your willpower to allow it to enter.
Your aura also has three channels where the divine energy flows within your aura, and in yoga, these are called the ida, pingala and sushumna. The ida carries the life energy in the left side of your body. The pingala carries it in the right side of your body. The sushumna, which is the most important, carries it in the middle of your spiritual column.
The chakras are the places where the ida, pingala, and sushumna meet together. There is so much energy in these places that the energy whorls around as divine creative potential waiting as an ever-present resource to be manifested into physical form, so that we can bring healing life-force into our daily lives.
To draw upon this infinite source of energy, we can use meditation, prayer, or affirmations. In this way, we transcend our everyday consciousness and become receptive to the healing power within us. There are specific affirmations that can be used to direct the healing force to particular areas of the body. These are contained in Louise Hay’s book “Heal Your Body”. Often these affirmations are sufficient to address a particular condition, but sometimes a more specific focus is needed to get the energy to come through. That is because we may have subconscious blocks to allowing the affirmation to work, and these have to be identified and dissolved. The blocks may be present because we have grown up in a culture that asserts mind-body duality, rather than mind-body unity. There may also be blocks because of individual karma from the past or individual lack of recognition of future possibilities. This is where astrology comes in – to identify any blocks you may have and to give you guidance as to how to dissolve them, so that you can become one with the Source and fulfill your divine purpose.
Louise Hay’s book also links the physical conditions and affirmations with particular vertebrae in the spine. This is helpful because the sushumna is located in the middle of your spinal column, and using the most specific affirmation possible should bring the healing light to the part that needs healing. However, if there is a blockage at the unconscious level, it will manifest on the physical level in the form of a blockage in the energy of the physical spine. The tension from this will be observable, as one or more bones in the spine will be out of alignment and there will be various symptoms in the surrounding muscles, organs, or other parts of the body. This report then, is designed to give you insight into the nature of any such blockages that you may be likely to have as an individual. The report also suggests ways of dissolving them and getting your own healing energy flowing. It will still depend on your own willpower whether you choose to use these new insights and how, in order to better your own health.
This report neither diagnoses nor prescribes, but works on the subtler level of the astral aura, as described by astrology, to understand and potentially re-direct the energies before they manifest on the physical level, so that you may be in tune with the higher, spiritual purpose for which the energies are intended rather than have them manifest as any lack of vitality or health.
This report is dedicated to my chiropractor, Dr. John Bjarnason of Toronto, who has greatly assisted me in combining my astral knowledge of my aura with its unblocked, physical manifestation, so that I have been able to enjoy better health
Best Wishes, Lorna Houston Copyright 2005
Chapter 1: The Ascendant
Leo Rising:
Your outward expression of your Heart Chakra is likely to be very energetic, generous, and dignified. Your partner is likely to provide a balance for that by being independent, impersonal, and modest.
Chapter 2: The Sun
Sun in Scorpio:
Your Sun-sign rules your colon, prostate gland (if male), and reproduction. These areas of your body are in proximity to your second of Spleen Chakra. Your Spleen Chakra is ruled by Pluto (for reproduction), and also by the Moon (which rules the emotional side of sexuality). So, in order to keep healthy you need to maintain a positive and accepting attitude towards your deepest feelings and your sexuality. You need to accept your body as well as your emotions. If you have any blocks to doing this, you need to delve deeply into the reasons for this and unravel them. First, you need to acknowledge any underlying negative beliefs you may have about yourself, then affirm the positive beliefs which would be the opposite to those, and then become established in the new life-affirming beliefs.
In order to keep bringing in the positive healing, Source energy, you need to keep the parts of your body healthy which the Sun rules, namely your heart and the vertebra of your spine. You also need to ensure that your pancreas and your endocrine glands as a whole are given the right nutrients for their proper functioning. As your thoughts become purer and revitalized, your ideas will become healthier too, and your overall health and reproductive power will increase.
Sun in 4th house:
The Sun rules your Solar Plexus, and its house shows how you bring the energy of this chakra out into the world. Your Solar Plexus gives you self-confidence, and you approach everyday life with the belief of “I can.” You apply this positive belief in yourself in the area of your home, where you seek to make it a secure and nurturing place for your family. You also have the ability to nurture and protect the environment.
Sun Quincunx Jupiter:
The Sun rules your Solar Plexus and Jupiter your Third Eye. The challenge here is to get your ego energy up to the more elevated level of generosity and benevolence towards others. Your grandparents may not have had the opportunity to be generous and charitable because of the hardships they faced, but you can move beyond your past by believing in yourself and having more positive faith about the outcome of sharing.
Chapter 3: The Moon
Moon in Aries:
The Moon has to do with the water element and Aries with fire, so you need to find a dynamic, creative outlet for your emotions, so as not to have emotional flare- ups. The Moon rules your second Chakra and Aries your Solar Plexus Chakra, so you have the ability to uplift others emotionally and keep them from wallowing in their problems by introducing positive thoughts of self-esteem and transcendence. You would teach your children not to bury their emotions inside, but instead to be extroverted and to enjoy the benefits of sports and other physical activities.
Moon in 9th house:
The Moon rules your Second or Spleen Chakra, and its house shows how you bring your emotions out into the everyday world. You can always tune in to it and say, “I feel,” because your emotions are a vital part of your being. You express your feelings through your sense of religion and moral values, by making sure that others are protected with positive guidance. You may travel to other lands to care for others.
Moon Trine Venus:
You were born with a special talent for creating a pleasant, caring home. You are readily able to express your emotions and affection in a loving way, and your actions express your love of your family. Your Spleen and Heart Chakras are likely to be open the right amount, giving you good health and happiness.
Moon Opposition Mars:
Your family may have held you back from asserting yourself, and now you need to affirm to yourself that your emotions are valid and that you have the right to good self-esteem. The happier your feelings become, the more harmoniously you will be able to express yourself and still be heard. You will then find that you do not have tension in your Spleen Chakra and Solar Plexus areas.
Moon Opposition Saturn:
You need to strike a balance between being emotional and being disciplined, so that your Spleen Chakra and your Root Chakra can both have adequate expression. Know that you can express your emotions without becoming irresponsible.
Moon Quincunx Uranus:
You may have had older people in your past inhibit your ability to let go of limitations and spontaneously move ahead into the future. However, by being adaptable, you can now adjust to you more fortunate present circumstances by building your self-esteem and moving on to the highest possible development of your genius potential.
Moon Sextile Neptune:
You grew up in a home environment that encouraged your psychic receptivity and right-brain awareness, and you may be very talented musically or artistically. You are able to be nurturing of others and to tune in to their subtler, unconscious needs. You have an easy flow of energy between your Spleen Chakra and Throat Chakra.
Moon Sextile Pluto:
You were raised in such a way as to be nurtured in dealing with intense emotions courageously. The energies of your Spleen Chakra work well and you can feel your emotions without losing your connection to your centre. You would have a talent for helping others through such intense experiences as births and deaths.
Chapter 4: Mercury
Mercury in Scorpio:
Mercury rules your Throat Chakra and brings the energy of the Source into your speech. Scorpio is very penetrating, and therefore your words are likely to go deep enough to reach the Source and allow you to utter words of truth. Use this ability for its positive purpose of helping others to regenerate their thoughts and opinions. If they put up resistance, they may be having to deal with an underlying block about which they are sensitive. Make sure that you remove your own blocks, so that your words will be accurate rather than just reflective of any resistance within you.
Mercury in 4th house:
Mercury co-rules your Throat Chakra, along with Neptune. Its house shows you the areas of life where you are likely to gain information and express your thoughts. It has to do with communication, and can be summarized in the words “I speak.” You are likely to engage in much educational activity in your home, such as reading, having discussions and teaching your children.
Chapter 5: Venus
Venus in Sagittarius:
Venus rules your Heart Chakra and Sagittarius rules your thighs and sciatic nerve, which are in the areas of your body near your Root Chakra. The lesson in love for you is to bring all of that wonderful inspiration into the everyday world, where it can make a practical difference to even the very survival of yourself and others. Begin by looking within and learning how to love yourself. Practice affirmations for positive self-esteem. Then you will have the basis of how to love others and bring optimism and prosperity into their lives.
Venus in 4th house:
Venus rules your Heart Chakra, Its house shows you the areas of life where you give and receive love and compassion. The key words for it are “I love.” You are very devoted to your home and you are likely to make it into a beautiful place where you can invite those you love to come and visit.
Venus Sextile Mars:
You have a kind way of putting your compassionate feelings into action by doing actual good for others. You have an easy flow of energy between your Heart Chakra and your Solar Plexus, giving you the willpower and vitality to form loving relationships, to love yourself, and to reach out to others.
Venus Sextile Saturn:
You have the opportunity to develop skill as an artist or sculptor because of your sense of beauty and perseverance. Venus rules your Heart Chakra and Saturn your Root Chakra. You are dependable in love relationships and likely to have a lasting marriage.
Venus Opposition Neptune:
You need to find a partner who will understand your need to be alone sometimes to explore your imagination and artistic ability. Just as you have both a Heart Chakra and a Throat Chakra, you have both social needs and quiet, meditative needs. Try to find a balance, where you can develop the different facets of yourself.
Venus Opposition Pluto:
On one hand, you have a need for peaceful, harmonious relationships, and on the other a need for a more intense, transformative type of situation. Both are valid needs, as you have both a Heart Chakra and Spleen Chakra. Rather than try to re-make those who do not like intensity, find other outlets for your strong passions or find someone who wants a more intense partnership.
Chapter 6: Mars
Mars in Libra:
Mars rules your Solar Plexus Chakra and Libra is ruled by Venus, which rules the heart. You are able to take the inspiration of self confidence and vitality of your Solar Plexus and channel it to a higher plane of love and compassion. You would do this by first mastering how to give love to yourself, so as to have a high self-esteem. It would follow from this that you would then have respect and compassion for others, because you would recognize the best qualities of yourself mirrored in them.
Mars in 3rd house:
Mars co-rules your Solar Plexus Chakra, along with the Sun. Its house shows you the areas of life where you express your initiative, desire, and physical action. The key words for it are “I can.” You would apply your strong drive towards acquiring information and communicating it, traveling, and thinking quickly of what actions to take.
Mars Conjunct Saturn:
Mars rules your Solar Plexus and has to do with your willpower, drive, and self-confidence. Saturn rules your Root Chakra and pertains to your self-discipline, groundedness, and practicality. You are very effective in completing work that requires both initiative and stamina and you direct your ego in constructive, practical ways. You are both energetic and reliable.
Mars Trine Neptune:
You have a special talent for combining your physical self-assertion with your subtler listening ability. You could use this gift for performing kind, compassionate acts for those in need. You could also do psychic healing of your own or others’ bodies, or you could do very artistic dancing. You have a very positive flow of energy between your Solar Plexus and Throat Chakra.
Mars Trine Pluto:
You have a very unusual, positive talent of being able to assert your willpower to achieve something and then being able to summon such intense inner energy that you succeed beyond any expectation. That is because of the very favorable flow of energy between your Solar Plexus and your Spleen Chakra. Use this talent to achieve great good, by meditating on having your willpower act in harmony with divine will, so that the results you achieve will attract good karma. Develop your physical fitness to its highest potential, so that your body and mind can act as one.
Chapter 7: Jupiter
Jupiter in Taurus:
Jupiter provides you with wonderful, healing psychic energy from your Third Eye, and the sign of Taurus brings this energy to your throat area for its self-expression. Use the energy to speak channeled wisdom. This will uplift others and make your throat feel healthier, and it will be a way in which you can attract good karma to yourself. If ever you find that the energy in your throat seems to be backing up and causing tension, do more of this channeling. You could also sing for yourself or others, especially songs with religious or spiritual meaning.
Jupiter in 10th house:
Jupiter rules your Brow Chakra. Its house shows you the areas of life where you express your spiritual values, positive thinking, and prosperity. The key words for it are “I see.” You apply your good values towards attaining a high position of trust in society, where you provide a positive example for others to follow.
Jupiter is Retrograde
Jupiter rules your Third Eye, and you may have unconsciously (or consciously) had experiences in your past where you were taught that you should not allow yourself to be psychic, because people who do that were somehow not accepted in the culture you were in. However, you know that you have natural ability in this area, which is healthy to develop and which can greatly benefit you. Know that what is holding you back in this area is just an illusion of a problem and not a real one. It is right for you to develop your inner seeing, and there is no genuine reason not to. You are now safe to know things and to grow.
Chapter 8: Saturn
Saturn in Libra:
Saturn rules your Root Chakra, which is the source of the energy to manifest your goals. You need to make sure that the goals you are working on are really your own and not just what will please older people. Libra rules partnerships, so the area where you need to learn to be yourself and release the past involves your relationships, both personal and professional. Free yourself from the belief that you have to act out a certain role just because you are male or female. Allow your partner to express him / herself too. If your partner will absolutely not grow with you, then you may need to find someone else who will let you be yourself.
Saturn in 3rd house:
Saturn co-rules your Root Chakra, along with the Earth. Its house shows you the areas of life where you express discipline, responsibility, and structure for your survival and grounding. The key words for it are “I have.” You are very disciplined when it comes to writing, telephoning, speaking, or any other type of communication where sustained hard work is required.
Saturn Trine Neptune:
You are very fortunate that you can combine your practical, organizational ability with your creative imagination. You could make a living as a singer, musician, or artist. You have a very positive, easy flow of energy between your Root Chakra and your Throat Chakra.
Chapter 9: Uranus
Uranus in Scorpio:
Uranus rules your Crown Chakra, the source of your infinite potential for new ideas and knowledge. Scorpio is a water sign, probing the depths of things to find the underlying truth. Your search for truth is therefore motivated by your higher self and your underlying awareness that the truth is already there. All you have to is uncover it.
Uranus in 4th house:
Uranus rules your Crown Chakra. Its house shows you the areas where you express your universal understanding, knowing, and intuition. It also shows where you express your urge for freedom and individuality, and the types of friends you will choose and groups you will join. The key words for it are “I know.” Your home is likely to be an unusual place, with unique decor, where your many friends and acquaintances would be welcome to come together.
Uranus Quincunx Neptune:
You may have been held back in the past from opening up to your high, spiritual awareness, perhaps because of survival needs. However, now you can adapt to new opportunities and discover the infinite number of new ideas in your higher mind and your great capacity for compassion and caring. You can heal yourself and others in a very significant way. By encouraging a more vitalized flow of energy between your Throat Chakra and Crown Chakra, you can become closer to God.
Uranus Quincunx Pluto:
In the past you may have been held back from making radical changes and moving ahead into the future, but you can now adapt to the new opportunities for success. You need to focus on creating a more active flow of energy between your Crown Chakra, as ruled by Uranus, and your Spleen Chakra as ruled by Pluto. Once this energy is flowing, your Crown Chakra will provide you with many original, new ideas, and your Spleen Chakra will give you the strong drive for transformation. You will be able to improve yourself and reform your surroundings.
Chapter 10: Neptune
Neptune in Gemini:
Neptune rules your Throat Chakra, which has to do with communication. Neptune is receptive and half of good communication is the ability to listen. Gemini rules communication in its outward physical expression. When you speak, people can tell that you have really listened to them. You are able to perceive the feelings behind their words.
Neptune in 10th house:
Neptune co-rules your Throat Chakra, along with Mercury. Its house shows you the areas of life where you express your ability to listen and to reflect back creatively what you hear, especially when you are acting as a channel for a higher source. The key words for it are “I speak,” but also “I listen.” Your empathy, psychic ability, and compassion could be directed towards a career where you could gain the recognition you deserve for healing others.
Neptune Conjunct Pluto:
Neptune rules your Throat Chakra and your ability to listen on the subtler levels. Pluto rules your Spleen Chakra and your drive to transform and regenerate. Here, your ability to tune in and listen is brought down to the more physical level of the body and emotions. You are very receptive to various influences, and you can quietly influence the overall outcome of things in a very subtle, caring and definite way.
Neptune is Retrograde
There may have been influences in your childhood that taught you that you did not have musical ability or that your perceptions were incorrect. However, the people who taught you that were under illusions themselves, and you do not need to be held back by their limitations. Believe in your own ability to listen and to be sensitive. Believe that it is safe to do so. You are responsible only for yourself, and your main relationship is with the Divine. Do not accept blame for others, but rejoice in the fact that you are safe to grow.
Chapter 11: Pluto
Pluto in Gemini:
Pluto rules your Second Chakra, located in your lower abdomen, and ruling your emotions and sexuality. Gemini on the other hand, is a very intellectual, detached sign. However, your intellect comes from the people who create you, and thoughts are nothing without the passion of the life force behind them. One who is aware of both mind and body is well balanced.
Pluto in 10th house:
Pluto co-rules your Second or Spleen Chakra, along with the Moon. Its house shows you the areas of life where you express your regenerative ability and your willpower to transcend mass karma, as well as your emotions and sexuality. The key words for it are “I feel.” You could have a tremendous influence on the spiritual regeneration of politics or business. Your own strong willpower enables you to succeed, and you would set an inspiring example for others.
Pluto is Retrograde
You may have observed inhibitions in your childhood about your sexuality. However, realize that the adults who taught you to feel guilty had problems of their own, and that you do not have any real problems yourself. Affirm that your own feelings are real and acceptable. Love yourself and love your body. Release the past and know that you are safe. Clear your subconscious mind of any inhibitions and see yourself as beautiful and lovable.
Chapter 12: Chiron, North Node, and the Midheaven
Chiron in Virgo:
Chiron represents the link between your individual identity and the Universal, as it is located between the inner and outer planets of the solar system. In your aura, it is related to your Heart Chakra, which is the link between your lower, physical chakras and your higher mental ones. Virgo has already achieved an awareness of the importance of good health care, and now you are ready to expand it to new realms. You understand intellectually that body, mind and spirit are all one and that the health of one area is essential for all of the other areas and for total health. You now need to study the techniques for total health, so that you can apply them to yourself and spread the knowledge to others.
North Node in Aries:
Just as the ida and pingala (the channels of life energy in the left and right sides of your auric body) meet at your chakras, the Moon’s path crosses over the Sun’s path at your lunar nodes. Your Aries North Node gives you special insight into how your male and female polarities can work together for your future. You will be striking out on your own and gaining from making new starts. Your Libra South Node shows that you have already mastered the lessons of cooperation and harmony, freeing you to be more decisive from now on.
North Node in 9th house:
You are now happily finding more time to pursue higher studies and contemplate greater truths. You may have learned from your past that, if you spend all your time communicating with relatives, the bustle of activity does not give you time to grow spiritually. As you learn to become independent and seek your own values, your Third Eye opens. You may need to reach out to others more, outside of your own group or neighborhood in order for this to happen, even if it means giving up some emotional security to discover the new.
MC in Aries:
You direct your willpower very energetically towards finding ways to be one with the cosmos, and the higher power gives you the inspiration to be positive and self-renewing, as the light comes in through your Crown Chakra. Your Root Chakra brings in a very fine quality of earth energy, allowing you to appreciate the beauties of nature and giving you the desire for beautiful, peaceful surroundings.
